These incredibly popular travel pillows are the best selling travel pillow in New Zealand, and for good reason. Just read the reviews!
These are great for long car rides too if you're not flying for a while!
Made of responsive memory foam, they are ideal for travelling in a plane, train or car. The patented ergonomic design, flattened back and high side panels provide perfect neck comfort and with straps at the back they can be fastened to the airplane headrest if you want to so your head doesn't fall forward.
It fits like a neck brace but is very comfortable and so easy to sleep in. I'm a convert. More costly than the micro bead and the other memory foam pillows in this store, but the Cabeau is worth the investment if you're travelling lots or doing a long haul trip. It has toggles in the front so you can wear it snuggly tight or loosen it off to eat.
To carry it, roll it up like a cinnamon bun into its bag where a velcro strap can easily fix it around your luggage handle if you don't want to pack it. The cover also can be removed for washing. Store out of the bag for long periods to keep its shape.

We have just returned from a long haul journey from New Zealand to London via Singapore. I highly recommend these neck pillows. On the longest leg I actually slept for 8 hours! This is the first long haul trip where I have managed to sleep on a plane. We bought our Cabeau neck pillows a while back but due to the lockdowns haven't really had a chance to use them until now. The secret is the fact that you can attach them to the plane head rest. This means you are gently held in an upright position where your head is unable to drop forward and thus you do not get any neck pain. I am a little shorter in height and consequently the head rest is a bit high for me so I just popped a cushion on my seat to lift me up a bit and ensure optimum position for my neck in the pillow. I also used ear buds, face mask and eye mask and I think the combination really helped ensure uninterrupted sleep. The face mask ensures you stay a bit hydrated which helps if you tend to cough in an air-conditioned environment.
These are the best neck pillows ever and worth every cent for travel in economy class.
Thanks for your great review Marian, and genius tip to sit on a cushion to use the head rest! I never thought of that :D - Megan
Unfortunately for me, the Cabeau Evolution travel pillow didn't live up to the hype.
I tried using it on a long haul flight recently, but it wasn't thin enough at the back and still pushed my head forward giving me a sore neck and headache so I didn't end up using it as I hoped I would.
Hi Tam, the back of the Cabeau pillow is about 1cm thick. I suspect you might have had the airplane headrest pushing your head forward? What I sometimes do is lift the headrest so it's above my head and I can put my pillow under it for a completely flat back. I'll add some photos so others can see exactly how thin the back is.
Just back from 4 x long-haul flights from NZ to London and return (Auckland-Singapore, Singapore-Heathrow and same legs return). Travel pillow was great. Kept my head from flopping over and the straps to the headrest worked really well. Watched people around me with standard travel pillows and very glad I had this one. Would certainly recommend this.
Thanks for your review Dave, that's awesome! - Megan
