It's so confusing knowing what sizes, dimensions or weight is allowed for all the different flights you're going to be taking. Especially when you need to add the width by the height by the depth to get a total figure. That requires some serious use of a tape measure!
So to make it simple I have listed the bags sold in this store that would qualify as carry-on or cabin luggage for Air New Zealand's requirements.
As this store only sells luggage NZ wide, I'm going to focus on our major carriers.
Air New Zealand carry-on luggage restrictions
Carry-on size is calculated by measuring a bag's length, width and height (including any wheels and packed away handles), then adding the three measurements together. The total can be up to 118cm (46.5 inches).
It can also weigh no more than 7kg, although I have managed to get away with a little more when carrying a laptop inside.
Travel Store luggage that qualifies as carry-on are:
- Antler cabin size (116cm)
- Boston cabin size (117cm)
- Cubo cabin size (116cm)
- Delsey Montrouge (115cm)
- Delsey Turenne (115cm)
- Manhattan cabin size (117cm)
- Seattle cabin bag (95.5cm)
- All Blacks cabin bag (95.5cm)

You are allowed 7kg but often the bag itself weighs 2/3kg, especially if it has wheels. A lightweight trolley that you can put in your bag and bring out when needed would be a good idea. I have seen one but it’s quite heavy
